Speed

The Lexmark MC2535ADWE Color Printer has an impressive print speed and copy speed of 35ppm, making it among the highest in its class alongside the Brother MFC-L2750DW. The Lexmark can even get up to 40ppm under optimal conditions! That’s only a tad faster than the HP LaserJet Pro MFP M227FDW.

When adding graphics, the score is still an impressive 20ppm. Photo printing takes about 40 seconds for an average 4×6 photo, almost 30 seconds longer than the competitors.

If speed isn’t a huge deal for you and you prefer portability instead, then you’ll be better off with the Zink Polaroid WiFi wireless 3X4 mobile photo printer or the Kodak Mini 2.

Print Quality

Similar to the OKI MC573DN, the MC2535ADWE Laser Printer Lexmark churns out excellent quality text printouts with excellent letter color right down to the smallest point size. The color quality on graphics printouts was exceptional, with no banding or toner distribution issues. It beats out every single one of our other printers, such as the Canon imageClass MF424dw. Photos, too, are stunning, with excellent detail and accurate colors.

Efficiency

Lexmark MC2535ADWE Multifunction Color Laser Printers, with their extra high-yield black and color cartridges, still cost 1.8 cents per monochrome page and 11.7 cents per color page. After 125,000 pages, you’ll need to replace the imaging drums, and running costs from cartridge yields to print and scan will increase to 2.1 cents per page monochrome and 12 cents for color. This is about on par with the HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M479fdw.

Advanced Features

The Lexmark MC2535ADWE All-In-One Printer has ample connectivity features like Gigabit Ethernet, USB, and Wi-Fi. Mobile Connectivity includes Apple AirPrint and the Lexmark Mobile Print App. Unfortunately, there’s no Wi-Fi Direct, NFC, or Bluetooth. However, you can download or create various connectivity and workflow profile apps via the control panel’s e-Task interface.

Value

If you get the extended warranty, you’ll be eligible for onsite service next business day maintenance if something happens with your machine. They also offer a return program toner cartridge if you agree to use the cartridge only once and then return it for repurposing or recycling. The Lexmark MC2535ADWE also comes with duplex printing, is energy star certified, and has its output quality tested by the ISO IEC. This printer might be your best bet, considering the Canon Pixma MG6320 tends to be more expensive over time.

Lexmark MC2535ADWE Wrap Up

The Lexmark MC2535ADWE may not have as robust a feature set as many of their competitors, but they’ve traded that in for a laser printer that can print at near inkjet levels of photo and graphic quality. And, after all, do you want your printer to connect to everything and everyone, or be able to print accurately and concisely?
