We consider the HP LaserJet Pro M15W Printer the best Chromebook printer because of its great features for such an inexpensive piece of equipment, such as a Chromebook. Its immunity to smudging and the inclusion of wi-fi direct also make it a great wireless printer, and probably the finest printer you can buy today.

Why We Like It – HP LaserJet Pro M15W Wireless Printer

The HP LaserJet Pro M15W Wireless Printer is an inexpensive yet powerful alternative to those large, bulky, oversized printers you see that are probably much more powerful than you really need. With 19ppm print speed and a large toner cartridge, the HP LaserJet Pro M15W will be able to get your printing jobs done quickly and for a long, long time. Speed

HP LaserJet Pro M15W Monochrome Laser Printers claim to have 19 pages per minute print speed, but this is much slower than the Laserjet Pro MFP M227FDW, which can do 30 pages per minute. And this proclamation is accurate since this best wireless printer can print standard A4 and A5 paper at that speed, if not just a shade faster. Larger papers, like a D2, may slow it down, but only a little bit because the paper barely fits the tray. It’s still one of the best printers for Macs and students if you’re in college and need something to print your assignment quickly. If you really need something much quicker, consider the Brother HL-L2350Dw or check out our best inkjet printer list. College students with laptops may also appreciate a portable printer for laptops or other devices when they’re constantly on the go.

Print Quality

Where the HP LaserJet Pro M15W excels in speed, it lacks in print quality. This is largely due to the 600×600 dpi, which makes the colors a little bit too light and pale. If you reduce the point size to anything below 10, it will become incredibly difficult to read because of this too. However, it is immune to smudging, like most other inkjet models, so that’s a plus. You can also check out the Epson – WorkForce WF-7210 Wireless if you’re looking for more high-end print quality.

Efficiency

The LaserJet toner cartridge is relatively large when compared to other models and, when compared to the Brother MFC-L3770CDW Laser, consumes far less toner. The companion app will inform you when toner is low and will need replacing but don’t expect it to be informing you too often. The toner will not dry between jobs and, combined with its large size, means you’ll be able to print thousands of pages on a single ink toner cartridge.

Advanced Features

The HP LaserJet Pro M15W may not be suitable for photographs. But that’s okay because it is meant for printing monochrome text documents like what a best small business printer can do. However, you would think the printer would include more advanced printing features like direct printing or duplex printing, or else your paper costs double. Unfortunately, it does not. So, where you save on toner, you’ll lose on paper.

Value

The main draw of the HP LaserJet Pro M15W is its low price point and shoebox-style size. It’s an excellent budget printer that may not fit into your modern-day smart home, but it can hold its own if you only need a few text documents a day. The printer connects to your wi-fi or uses wi fi direct if the network goes down. There’s also a USB port in the back, should your network completely fail you.
