The Gigabyte AORUS FI27Q-X boasts a rapid 1ms response time, a variable 165Hz refresh rate (better than the Dell 27 Ultrathin monitor), and a low 3ms input lag that makes it ideal for gaming despite its poor blacks and low contrast ratio.

Product Snapshot

Overview

The AORUS FI27Q-X is an affordable 27-inch gaming monitor that Gigabyte released in late 2019. It pledges excellent viewing angles for co-op gaming, a rapid 1ms response time to eliminate motion blur, and a 165Hz refresh rate that makes it ideal for stopping screen tearing. Despite being a native FreeSync monitor, the display is also G Sync compatible, so gamers will be able to connect a GPU that relies on either an NVIDIA or AMD graphics card. The display’s metal stand also has great ergonomics, as users will be able to adjust its height, tilt, swivel, and pivot angles with much ease. It has more of a gaming-centered design than the Gigabyte M27Q, and with a wide color gamut, it remains an excellent choice for watching HDR content. Read to the end of this Gigabyte AORUS FI27Q-X review to see what else it has in store, and find out whether it deserves a spot among the best-rated computer monitors in the market.

Consensus

our Verdict

The Gigabyte AORUS FI27Q-X is a great choice for pro gamers, with its rapid 1ms response time, 165Hz refresh rate, and super low 3ms input lag. It also has wide viewing angles, but its grayish blacks and lack of local dimming feature may be a letdown for those who want to use it in a dark setting. It does have excellent color accuracy and is relatively lightweight, so it may still be worth considering. It’s similar to the Acer Nitro XV272U, which has similar features.
