The Acer Nitro XV252Q impressed testers with its outstanding 390Hz refresh rate, which translated to super-smooth visuals when gaming. They loved its wide viewing angles and exceptional reflection handling, but like the AOC 24G2, it disappoints with its low contrast ratio and limited connectivity options.

Product Snapshot

Overview

The Acer Nitro XV252Q was announced in 2021 as a mid-tier computer monitor. Its rapid 390Hz refresh rate makes it one of the best gaming monitors in its category, so competitive players can expect top-tier gaming performance. Also, with a rapid 0.5ms Gray to Gray response time, motion blur is kept at bay. The display’s color accuracy is as high as a lot of the top-rated computer monitors on the market such as the Acer Nitro XF243Y, and thanks to superb ergonomics, making adjustments will be very easy to do.

Consensus

our Verdict

The Acer Nitro XV252Q is a 24-inch Full HD screen that reviewers deemed perfect for super-smooth gaming, thanks to its 390Hz refresh rate. Testers from We PC also confirmed that its images remained super accurate when viewed from the side and therefore deemed it fit for use in a group setting as opposed to the Acer Nitro XF252Q. Also praised was its impressive reflection handling, as reviewers from Rtings did not have any issues with readability in a brightly lit setting. This also had them clarify that the monitor would also be great for office use.

Unfortunately, critics felt that the monitor had limited connectivity options and complained that its low contrast ratio made blacks look gray in a dark room setting.
