By our accounts Microsoft is more than happy to hammer the final nail in Nintendo’s coffin. What are we alluding to?
Today, word broke that Microsoft is set to sell an Xbox 360 Special Edition 4GB Kinect Sports Bundle. Included is a White Xbox 360, White controller and White Kinect sensor. They’re also bundling in both the “Kinect Sports” and “Kinect Adventures!” games. Which makes this bundle analogous to Nintendo’s initial Wii offering. And with the popularity of the Japanese company’s console diminishing at a rapid rate, we gotta give props to Microsoft for performing such a bold (and spicy) move. Microsoft will also start selling a white Xbox 360 wireless controller for $49.99, though we’d expect that price to drop in a few week’s if not a few month’s time.
Major Nelson says that the Xbox 360 Special Edition 4GB Kinect Sports Bundle will go on sale today, though Amazon’s product page still lists the $299.99 bundle out of stock.
