AMD Kills ATI Brand, PC Gamers Weep A Little
An era of PC gaming has died today, as AMD has killed the ATI brand on their video cards. AMD says that part of the decision was influenced by their upcoming Fusion APUs, which combine CPUs and GPUs, and seemed like a good starting point for a new era in the graphics chip company. But gamers of a certain age will always have fond memories of playing Counter-Strike into the wee hours of the morning using ATI cards. R.I.P., ATI.
