If you’re on the market for women’s watches, one that screams craftsmanship and luxury, the best watches around is the Zenith Defy Midnight Blue Diamond Watch. For starters, its pricing is only attainable by a sliver of the population. Lastly, the designers bring together an excellent color palette for a beautifully-made watch.

Why We Like It – Zenith Defy Midnight Review

The Zenith Defy Midnight Blue Diamond Watch brings together the dark blues and black of the night, with diamonds and a silver bracelet—an impressive combination that’s as luxurious as it sounds.

  • Beautiful design
  • Power reserve lasts 50 hours
  • Water resistant at depths of 100 meters (328 feet)
  • Unreachable by the average person
  • Automatic watch movement, not quartz

The Zenith Defy Midnight keeps its analog clock simple by using one hand for each measurement of time: second, minute, and hour. A small box sits off to the right to keep track of the day, like the Timex Easy Reader. Though we did question the use of an automatic movement over quartz, given that quartz is every so slightly more accurate, which the Fossil FS5241 uses.

Still, power reserve is excellent, needing to be wound after 50 hours. It’s even incredibly water resistant, withstanding depths of 328 feet. That’s the extent of its performance. Performance aside, the Zenith Defy Midnight is one beautiful watch. It screams luxury just from the tiny diamond encircling the dial. What we liked the most was the starry sky dial color; silver points dot the night sky in a very satisfying way. And that midnight blue really pops against the stainless steel case. It features a 36mm case, connected to a steel bracelet that has an interchangeable strap.

Zenith Defy comes in a variety of designs. The Defy Classic exposes the case back. The Elite Collection adds a moonphase to the bottom of the watch. Another design, seen in LVMH Watch Week incorporates the 2020 Land Rover Defender into the Zenith El Primero Range Rover. For a watch with a unique face, check out our VOID VO2 watch review.

As beautiful and accurate the Zenith Defy Midnight is, few people will actually enjoy its splendor. The value of the watch is in a very different place from the mindset of the average person. Its pricing is far beyond the reach of everyday people, nor does its performance justify its price. But as a luxury item, for someone who can drop nearly $11,000 on a watch and not bat an eye, the Zenith Defy Midnight won’t disappoint.

Zenith Defy Midnight Review Wrap Up

The Zenith Defy Midnight is out of most of the population’s reach, but for those that can afford it, you’re getting one impressive piece of craftsmanship. Its power reserve is excellent and water resistance makes it tough. The midnight sky against its silver casing is a match made in heaven.
