our Verdict

The MSI Optix G27C6 pleased experts with its decent gaming features, and they recommended it for gamers. Analysts at PC Mag praised the 165Hz refresh rate, although it’s limited to 144Hz over HDMI. It has AMD FreeSync support and G-SYNC compatibility, reducing screen tearing during testing. Editors at RTINGS measured its contrast ratio to be an excellent 4,229:1, and they endorsed it for dark room gaming. Testing revealed a peak brightness of 321 nits, which was deemed very good. Reviewers clocked the input lag at an outstanding 4.0 ms during tests, and the 18.6 ms total response time was deemed okay for gaming. However, the MSI Optix MAG271CQR review has a faster 13.0 ms response time. Although it has an excellent SDR mode color gamut, covering 97.6% of the sRGB color space, experts could not recommend it for serious content creation partly because of the ergonomically limited stand and average Full HD resolution. The connectivity options on this device are limited to two HDMI 1.4 ports and a DisplayPort 1.2 connector. Analysts were also displeased by its narrow viewing angles, which are typical of VA panels. If you intend to engage in co-op gaming, consider an IPS panel model such as the MSI Optix G272 review. The stand was criticized because it offers only limited adjustment
