LG is an established brand for appliances and their 8,000 BTU LW8016ER Window-Mounted Air Conditioner is our Honorable Mention because of its increased cooling capacity and easy to use control panel. With an EER rating of 13.8, you can quickly and efficiently cool rooms up to 450 square feet. In case you want to let us do a bit of the work for you here’s a guide we’ve done for the best window air conditioner right now. You may also want to compare this LG unit with top-tier air conditioners.

Why We Like It – LG 115V Dual Inverter Smart Window Air Conditioner

The LG 115V Dual Inverter Smart Window Air Conditioner is a window air conditioner that’s designed for rooms up to 450 sq ft thanks to a 9,500 BTU rating. A slightly larger model is the LW1016ER LG AC Unit which has a cooling power of 10,000 BTUs. The Inverter can be controlled with the remote or control panel you can cycle between four cooling and fan speeds, and activate the dehumidifying function.

Pros
  • 9,500 BTUs (450 sq ft)
  • Included remote control
  • 12.1 energy efficiency ratio
Cons
  • Customer service can be inconsistent depending on where sold

Performance

One more important aspect that caught our eye was the dehumidifying feature that removes up to 3.1 pints of moisture from the air per hour as it cools. Plus, with four cooling settings and four fan speeds, and the ability to precisely set the temperature, you can customize this air conditioning unit to create the perfect environment. You’ll also love the included remote that gives you the freedom to control the temperature from across the room or use the control panel on the unit. A similar unit is the Lasko T42951 portable oscillating fan that has a control panel, but settings can also be changed using the remote control that comes with it. Many window air conditioners like the Frigidaire FFRA0511R1E 5,000 BTU Mini-Compact Air Conditioner are energy-efficient energy star approved but the LG dual inverter is different. With smart Wi-Fi and LG electronics, few ac units can truly compare with the LG 115V Dual Inverter Smart Window Air Conditioner.

Design

The dual inverter air makes this perfect for maintaining the perfect room temperature while another window unit like the Friedrich Chill CP06G10B 6,000 BTU Window Air Conditioner will shut off every little while and come back on after letting the room warm up. While the other functions of the LG air conditioners like the LG LW8016ER 8,000 BTU Window Air Conditioner have an easy installation this one also has the benefit of being perfect for a smart home. Value

Few of those LG window units can be called dual inverter window air conditioners. One such is the LG 10,000 BTU A/C, as it’s just a regular window unit. With the most recent reviews coming in only a few days ago speaking very highly of the dual inverter compressor when comparing them to other window ac units it’s hard to not see why the best inverter A/Cs are so highly rated compared to standard inverter units like the Friedrich Chill CP06G10B 6,000 BTU Window Air Conditioner.

LG 115V Dual Inverter Smart Window Air Conditioner Wrap Up

It’s unfortunate that after all of that, LG doesn’t have the best customer service with it largely being person to person but still common enough to make note of.
