Despite no HDMI 2.1 port and lack of backlight control in HDR mode, the Asus PG32UQX remains a premium display with rapid response time, low input lag, and high color accuracy, and a variable refresh rate.

Product Snapshot
Overview
The Asus PG32UQX is a top-tier gaming monitor released in 2021 that promises to deliver lifelike gaming visuals thanks to its 4K resolution and comprehensive coverage of the sRGB, DCI-P3, and Adobe RGB color gamuts. The display’s lifelike HDR imagery is courtesy of its high HDR brightness levels, and with mini LED backlight technology that allows for up to 1152 local dimming zones, black levels are nothing short of impressive. So users will enjoy incredibly lifelike gaming visuals even in low lighting conditions. With a color palette that can render more than a billion colors, the Asus PG32UQX ensures the very best color reproduction. Also, a factory pre-calibrated Delta E score of less than 2 makes it more color accurate than the LG 34GP83A-B. Read through the rest of this Asus PG32UQX review to find out if it has what it takes to outrank some of the best-rated computer monitors available in the market.

our Verdict

The Asus PG32UQX is a great choice for gamers and designers alike. It has a 4ms response time and 144Hz variable refresh rate, plus top-notch color accuracy. Unfortunately, it doesn’t have an HDMI 2.1 port, so PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X gamers won’t get the full visual performance. Plus, there’s no brightness control in HDR mode, so you won’t be able to make any adjustments.
ReasonS to Buy
- Ultra-wide color gamut for high color accuracy
- High response time and low input lag make it ideal for gaming
- Very ergonomic stand
- High HDR peak brightness levels
Reason to Avoid
- No HDMI 2.1 port for advanced consoles such as the PS5 and Xbox X Series
- No brightness control in HDR mode
