Thanks to the Official NVIDIA Blog, we have fresh details on the GeForce GTX 480M, the world’s fastest mobile video card. Supporting up to 2GB VRAM, the GTX 480m features 352 CUDA cores within a 256-bit memory interface. Based off its brother, the Fermi desktop GTX line, the 480m doesn’t feature those kinds of power-crunching numbers, but its still leaps and bounds above most notebooks. It also has the obligatory DirectX 11, PureVideo 1080p, and OpenCL support. What that kind of power will do to your poor laptop’s battery life, though, is still up in the air.

The GeForce GTX 480M will be available in June in new notebooks.
