The TMY V08 720 Native Projector can be argued as the best outdoor projector for those on a strict budget. With 720p native resolution, high contrast ratio, and lumens, you’re getting a solid HD experience for a fantastic price. On top of that, the home cinema experience is expanded by offering connectivity options such as HDMI, VGA, USB, and/or TV stick. All these features make for the best projector for tons of entertainment. However, if you want something stronger concerning resolution, check out our Optoma HD142X review.
The small, lightweight, and compact size of the TMY V08 720 Native Projector have a high number of lumens for clear picture quality, followed by a very high contrast ratio to brighten white and darken darks. Although, if you see a lackluster performance, it may be your screen type. In that case, you’ll want to compare a glossy vs matte projector screen to see if that resolves the issue.
Similar to the Anker Nebula Mars II, the TMY has a projection screen of 100 inches (screen included). So, you’re getting a semi-home theater experience with the TMY V08 Projector HD. It maxes out at 1280×720 resolution, however. That’s still HD, but notably lower than 1080p. To make up for it, the contrast ratio is four times higher than average, a 4000:1 ratio. If you want the best iPhone projector on the market, TOPVISION Mini Projector will be perfect for you.
Alternatively, if you want a contrast ratio of 35,000:1, read our Epson Home Cinema 2040 review.
To further help the contrast ratio stand out and improve the projected multimedia is the number of lumens it pumps out. At 5500 lumens, you’ll be able to enjoy movies competently, even during the day. In that case, you might like other bright projectors, such as the ones you’ll find in our list of the best projector for the living room.
With a portable projector compatible with HDMI, USB, VGA, and SD card, you’ve got plenty of options between different devices but lack WiFi and Bluetooth support. Adjustability is pretty fair, with a throw distance of 1.5 to 5.5 meters. Because the resolution and image quality is crisp, viewing angles won’t suffer if you sit off to the side. It’s surprising to see a mini projector intuitive, yet lightweight, portable, and easy to use. It weighs just 4.3 lbs, with a compact size dimension of 7.48 x 3.78 x 2.83 inches. Lamp life is rated for 60000 hours, so it will certainly last many years to come. For another long-lasting projector, read our Optoma GT180Darbee review.
For just $77, it doesn’t even matter if the native resolution on the TMY V08 720p Native Projector is 720p; you’re getting some of the best bang for your buck here. But, some of the leading 4K projectors don’t cost too much either. However, what’s nice about this projector is that you get a 100-inch projector screen on top of that, along with a 1.5m HDMI cable, remote control, power supply, and AV cable. So yes, it’s absolutely worth it and gets our seal of approval.
Having 720p full HD native resolution is still better than no HD at all. The TMY V08 720p Native Projector makes up for its lack of 1080p with a higher contrast ratio and lumens. It offers impressive image quality for its price. And with how small it is, it’s so easy to transport!
On the other hand, if 1080p is a must, then you’ll want to read our ViewSonic PA503S review.
