The TicWatch Pro 2020 release boasts some minor improvements compared to the earlier TicWatch Pro that was launched in 2018, though its major elements in terms of design and appearance remain largely the same. The watch runs Google’s wear OS with 1GB or RAM, and 4GB of internal storage for your apps and data. It comes with a 415 mAh battery, which yields about two days of battery life on smart mode. If you have it switched to essential mode though, the watch can last as long as 30 days on a single charge. Impressive, isn’t it? Stay put for this TicWatch pro review, and see what exactly it’s got that wins it a place in our best android smartwatch list.

Why We Like It – TicWatch Pro Smartwatch Review

The TicWatch Pro is a good looking, well built smart watch that is able to track a wide variety of body activities and give you feedback that you could use to improve your health. The watch comes with NFC support for payments, a reliable heart rate sensor, and is available in either Shadow Black or Liquid Metal Silver. Pros
  • Outstanding Battery Life
  • Well priced
  • Dual screen setup
Cons
  • A bit heavy

Performance

Health enthusiasts will be delighted to know that the TicWatch Pro’s heart rate sensor is capable of 24-hour tracking, and with the watch being IP68 certified, it can stand a little bit of sweat and moisture as you move about, but not being completely submerged in water like the samsung galaxy android smartwatch can. The wear OS smartwatch also features cross compatibility with both iOS and Android devices, and if you don’t like the built-in fitness tracking apps such as Google fit, there’s the option to test out others outside the Google ecosystem thanks to third-party app support.

Design

Bearing a 1.39-inch 400 x 400 OLED display, the TicWatch Pro offers crisp colors and sharp imagery – much better than what you’d get with the Garmin Vivoactive 3 GPS Android Smartwatch. It’s OLED display sits right below another FSTN display, which the watch switches to whenever the battery is set to its power saving “Essential Mode”. The LCD screen is also similar to what you would have on a typical Casio stopwatch, and is limited to displaying only essential details such as the time, heart rate and steps taken during a walk. You won’t get to choose a watch face while in this mode, but that’s a fair trade off in exchange for a much longer battery life. When you switch back to Smart mode though, you won’t be restricted to a small set of watch faces that you can use as you would with the Apple watch, so the TicWatch Pro may earn a significant amount of praise in that regard.

Value

With a dual screen setup, a built-in heart rate monitor, and a battery life that can last up to 30 days, there aren’t that many smart watches that can step up to the TicWatch Pro in terms of the capabilities you get at its price point. Also, since the TicWatch Pro runs wear OS, Google Assistant is included by default as the primary virtual assistant. With added features such as sleep tracking through the Mobvoi app, you’ll be able to go past the normal fitness-related tracking features that most smart watches have to offer – an add-on you won’t get with the fossil gen 5 smartwatch.

TicWatch Pro Smartwatch Review Wrap Up

As you’ve probably learnt from this TicWatch Pro review, there’s very little that this watch cannot do. It’s dual screen setup is a clever little trick that you won’t find with any other smartwatch brand, and with a 30-day money back guarantee, you’ll be able to return it should it not meet your expectations.
