Consensus

our Verdict

Top experts were impressed by the OontZ Angle 3 ULTRA during their tests, approving it for indoor and outdoor music and podcasts. Reviewers from Nerd Techy extolled its incredibly portable 0.9-lb construction and submersible IPX7-rated waterproof design. Testers at RTINGS hailed its 20.6-hour battery life. However, if you require a longer runtime, check out our Pohopa EF-B210G review. With a 2.77 dB frequency response standard error, this speaker offers fairly balanced audio, although it struggles with bass. Testing revealed a 6.55 dB directivity index, resulting in a non-immersive soundstage, although it supports stereo. It reached a fairly loud 86.1 dB maximum SPL with a DRC of just 1.18 dB, maintaining good sound quality at the highest volume setting. However, if you need a louder speaker for parties, see our Monster Rockin’ Roller 270X review. It supports smartphone-based Google Assistant and Siri voice assistants, but the speech recognition was poor. The 126 ms iOS Bluetooth latency and 170 ms Android Bluetooth latency were deemed sub-par by the experts.

ReasonS to Buy

  • Loud 86.1 dB maximum SPL and low sound compression at the maximum volume
  • Great 20.6-hour battery life and support for stereo
  • IPX7-rated waterproof design
  • Speakerphone and voice assistant feature
  • Extremely portable 0.9-lb construction

Reason to Avoid

  • Poor voice assistant voice recognition
  • Mediocre bass
  • High Bluetooth latency
