The Roborock S7 Maxv is an outstanding robot vacuum that excels in bare floor cleaning performance. With an impressive 99.145% of debris cleaned up from bare floors, it’ll keep vinyl, hardwood, and tile nearly spotless. This high-end performance is complemented by its strong pet hair cleaning ability, picking up 80.665% of pet hair and a strong 82.36% of carpet debris.
Noise is moderate, coming in at 69.96 dB, which makes it about as loud as washing machines. It’ll disrupt conversations and might scare pets, but it’s not earsplitting and far from conventionally “loud.” The bin capacity of the Maxv is decent at 0.11 gal, but including a self-emptying feature means that you won’t have to worry about emptying the vacuum since it’s capable of doing it itself! The MaxV also hits a battery life of 153.5 minutes, which means it’ll rarely have to stop and charge, even when cleaning larger homes.
The inclusion of Amazon Alexa makes hands-free operation possible, and a HEPA helps reduce sneezing and irritation that vacuuming might normally create. Room-by-room navigation and auto docking & recharging round out the feature set of the MaxV, making it very well-rounded and extremely convenient to use.

It cleans an impressive 97.775% of debris from bare floors, surpassing the more expensive S7 Maxv’s 99.145% performance, and offers superior carpet cleaning ability too, sucking up 86.3% of carpet debris.
However, if you have pets, consider the S7 MaxV instead. At just 59% of pet hair cleaned up, the S7 is mediocre for homes with lots of pets that shed. The MaxV, while more expensive, is a much better pet-friendly pick. Given that the S7 also has a smaller bin size (0.07 gal), the MaxV is better overall for picking up more pet hair before it needs to be emptied.
The Roborock S7 operates at a moderate 69.8 dB in terms of noise level, similar to the S7 Maxv. When it comes to battery life, it offers an excellent 146.0 minutes of cleaning time. This is slightly less than the S7 Maxv, but it still provides ample time for most cleaning tasks.
The Roborock S7 has a HEPA filter and hypoallergenic features, making it an excellent option for homes with allergies. It also offers a self-emptying feature that helps reduce the impact the lower bin size creates. The presence of room-by-room navigation helps improve overall cleaning efficiency and reduce run time.

With a noise level of 60.4 dB, it’s relatively quiet, sounding about as loud as a typical conversation, meaning it’s less likely to be disruptive and scare pets.
The vacuum also cleans up 92.75% of debris on bare floors, making it a great pick if your home also has a ton of hardwood, tile, or vinyl flooring. However, its carpet cleaning performance is where the S4 makes a compromise. At 63%, it’s less effective on thicker materials than other vacuums on our list. If you need better carpet cleaning efficiency, the Roborock S7 offers much stronger debris cleaning ability on carpets, but it does worse with pet hair, is much louder, and is more expensive.
With a battery life of 158 minutes, this vacuum can handle extensive cleaning sessions without frequent recharging.
