Overview

The Samsung HW Q700B is a mid-range soundbar that was launched in 2022. It is a 3.1.2 system with three channels, one subwoofer, and two up-firing channels that support Dolby Atmos. Like the best speakers, you get Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, and it ships with Samsung’s One Remote. It has adaptive sound for movies, dialogues, news, and sports and Game Pro Mode for games (compatible with PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X).

  • Well-balanced sound

    • The HW-Q700B is great for movies and TV shows thanks to its balanced sound profile for clear dialogue and thumpy bass for action sequences. Its stereo soundstage is fairly wide, and the sound placement feels precise and not general.

  • Excellent voice clarity

    • This soundbar delivers excellent voice clarity because of its neutral mid–range. The discrete center channel ensures dialogues, vocals, and lead instruments sound pretty clear.

  • Satisfying bass response

  • Impressive smart integration and great connectivity

    • This soundbar has impressive smart integration. It works with Samsung’s SmartThings app (iOS and Android) and supports Apple AirPlay, Google Chromecast, and Spotify Connect. It connects with Alexa for voice commands, but you’ll need an Alexa smart speaker. Connectivity includes Full HDMI In, HDMI eARC, and Optical audio.

  • Fair Atmos Performance

    • The HW-Q700B has good Dolby Atmos performance, and sounds create a sense of height.

  • Mediocre surround performance
