The Logitech G815 might have delighted reviewers with its RGB lighting, high build quality, and programmability, but its wobbly keys proved unfit for typing. They also liked its super low latency, but its lack of wireless connectivity and missing wrist rest disappointed them.

our Verdict

The Logitech G815 impressed reviewers with its RGB backlighting. They could customize the lighting sequence during testing and liked that they were pretty bright. Experts from Trusted Reviews hailed the G815’s aluminum-magnesium build as high quality and were also pleased that the keyboard offers five programmable G-keys.
Testers from Rtings also praised the low 1ms latency on the G815 and found that its typing noise was pretty low when they opted for the GL Tactile key switches. It’s got an edge over the Corsair K60 since its keyboard has onboard memory, but if you’re interested, you can go through our Corsair K60 RGB Pro Low Profile review and make your own comparisons.
As far as typing is concerned, reviewers concluded that the G815 is disadvantaged because of its wobbly keys. The Microsoft Surface Keyboard is a much better option, so if you spend a lot of time typing, make sure you read through our Microsoft Surface Keyboard review. Testers also didn’t like its lack of wireless capability and missing wrist rest.

Overview
The Logitech G815 LIGHTSYNC RGB is a premium wired gaming keyboard that was first available in mid-2019. It is a full-size keyboard measuring 18.7 by 5.9 inches, with a total of 104 keys. The G815 is also pretty thin, and its keycaps are made of ABS plastic. Its incredibly low latency of 1ms makes it one of the best keyboards for gaming, as this guarantees rapid responsiveness.
It also has RGB backlighting, a feature that it has in common with many highly rated gaming keyboards. Its lighting sequence can also be customized through the Logitech G Hub software, and its brightness can be controlled directly on the board. While this might be exciting for gamers, users who aren’t moved by backlit keys would be better off checking out our Logitech K840 Mechanical Keyboard review.
Regarding ergonomics, the inclines on the G815 can be adjusted, but if you’d rather have a keyboard that includes a wrist rest, our Logitech K350 review might be of interest.
