Consensus
our Verdict
Critics praised the TREBLAB HD-Max during their testing, and they approved it for indoor and outdoor music playback and podcast streaming. Experts at Popular Mechanics were delighted by its 5.7-lb portable design and Android Bluetooth latency and speakerphone functions. Reviewers from RTINGS clocked its frequency response standard error at just 3.33 dB, praising its well-balanced sound with good bass. The device has EQ presets. However, enthusiasts seeking a more customizable device with a graphic EQ should check out the SOUNDBOKS Go review. However, it has a poor 6.25 dB directivity index, translating to a narrow soundstage, but it supports stereo. Achieving a 93.2 dB maximum SPL and 3.22 dB DRC, this device gets very loud, and the sound quality remains fairly good at high volume settings. Testing revealed an impressive 22.4 -hour battery life. However, the device doesn’t support voice assistants and has a mediocre 199 ms iOS Bluetooth latency and 156 ms Android Bluetooth latency. Check out our Theater Solutions B83GR review if you desire better latency.
