Finding utility in a coffee table beyond placing magazines and drinks on its surface is no easy feat. Even that Scissor Coffee Table from Restoration Hardware was rooted in gimmick, a very cool gimmick mind you. However, the Cityscape Coffee Table not only looks cool, but those wooden blocks serve a purpose beyond an aesthetic appeal.
It’s a bit difficult to deciper, but as this picture shows there are little nooks for things like remotes. There is also magazine rack and a whole host of other shelving opportunities. The base is made from Solid Walnut, while the top is 12mm thick ensuring that the heaviest of beer cans, and books won’t shatter what is presumambly tempered glass.
