Experts hailed the Dyson V7 Animal, recommending it for bare surfaces and low-pile carpets. They were happy with its 0.48 kPA suction power, even though the Dyson Outsize Absolute+ offers more suction.

Testers observed above-average performance on hard floors, recording a large debris removal rate of 64%. However, it’s on low-pile carpets where this vacuum truly shines, boasting a large debris removal rate of 87% during tests.

Product Review analysts praised its maneuverability and lightweight 5-lb construction. It features a decent 0.54L dirt cup. However, if you need a bigger dirt compartment, check out the 0.76L Dyson V11 Animal.

The washable HEPA filter, which removes 99.97% of microscopic particles as small as to 0.3 microns, proved effective against allergens. Researchers at Which? hailed its removable brush roll, and sound tests revealed a normal 72.1 dBA noise rating.

However, it lacks a soft roller brush, limiting its usefulness on deep carpets. Additionally, its runtime of just 30 minutes in the Max mode was deemed low by experts.
