our Verdict

Product researchers hailed the SOUNDBOKS Go, endorsing it for indoor parties and podcasts. Experts at Digital Trends hailed its good 48 ms iOS Bluetooth latency and 92 ms Android Bluetooth latency. Analysts at 9to5Mac praised its app-based graphic EQ and presets. It has a decent 21.4-lb construction. However, if you need a more portable speaker, see our Sony SRS-XB13 review. Testing revealed an incredible 35.7-hour battery life. It reached a fantastic 106.6 dB maximum SPL during testing, but the 3.34 dB DRC shows some sound deterioration at high volume settings. With a decent 4.99 dB frequency response standard error, it produces fairly balanced sound, but the low bass is poor. See our TREBLAB HD-Max review for a more accurate sound profile. The speaker lacks mic/guitar inputs, voice assistant functions, and speakerphone features, and It’s not waterproof. Check out the Theater Solutions B83GR review for a rainproof speaker. The Go has a poor 6.64 dB directivity index, translating into a narrow soundstage, and it downmixes stereo to mono.
