This car audio head unit may be small in size, but it packs punch and has features like built-in Bluetooth, USB input, and an FM tuner. It also features an anti-theft faceplate. If you’re not sold by the Kenwood, compare with our review of Sony’s in-dash XAV-602BT.

Cons

Performance

If you check Amazon verified purchase reviews, most people think this stereo offers great performance. It comes with a maximum output of 50-watts x 4 and also has three pre-outs to connect more components. The dual Bluetooth allows up to two phones to connect for talking when on the move. The Music Mix feature allows up to five phones to connect and play music. The KMM-BT322U is compatible with many different file formats including FLAC, AAC, WAV, WMA, and MP3, so your music won’t skip a beat. Unfortunately, it doesn’t play DVDs, like the Pioneer AVH-1300NEX.

Design

By removing the CD player, the length of the stereo is much shorter than conventional head units. This means you have more space for your wiring. The KMM-BT322U comes in a slick black look with intuitive buttons and a large volume knob. The LCD screen offers clear, vivid colors, and is customizable to match the color of the interior of your car. To keep your media receiver safe from thieves, the face-plate is easy to remove and to put back. If you need a DVD player, the Boss Audio BV9358B is a better option.

Value

The Kenwood KMM-BT322U delivers incredible sound quality for a unit that’s so small. It even manages to cram in lots of features like USB, Bluetooth, and AUX support. This stereo is available with an optional remote control, as well as a remote control app. This head unit is optimized to play digital media from multiple devices with no problem. This stereo offers excellent value for money, even without free shipping. The ATOTO A6 is a better bet if you need a stereo with the Android operating system.

Kenwood KMM-BT322U Wrap Up

This Kenwood stereo does away with the CD player to deliver a more modern experience. It can play music from multiple sources and offers excellent sound quality. Despite the lack of a touchscreen, it is easy to use thanks to the intuitive controls. Thanks to its exceptional connectivity features and affordable price, this head unit is definitely worth considering.
