Experts found the Dyson Humdinger pretty easy to move around courtesy of its 2.7-pound weight. They also liked that it had a low noise level and that it came with a good number of tools. Still, its 28-minute runtime proved disappointing, and its 0.08-liter capacity was underwhelming.

our Verdict

Critics hailed the Dyson Humdinger for its lightweight and portability. Its 2.7-pound weight ensured that testers from Rtings didn’t strain their wrists during their experiments.
They also liked that it had a relatively low noise level of only 73.5 decibels and could pick up 100% of large and small debris from bare floors and 66 to 78% of debris from high and low pile carpets.
Reviewers from Apartment Therapy also liked that it came with tool attachments such as a spinning brush, a combination crevice tool, and a mini motorized tool.
During their tests, they found that these tools made it equally as versatile as the eufy HomeVac H11, as they were able to use it to clean stairs and detail a car.
Unfortunately, critics found out that the Humdinger is not the best Dyson vacuum to go for because its 0.08-liter capacity was relatively small. They also argued that its 28-minute battery life was not as long and were distraught that it couldn’t clean up stains from the floor.

Overview
The Dyson Humdinger is a top-tier handheld vacuum cleaner announced in the market in 2021.
Its low maintenance costs give some of the best vacuum cleaners a run for their money, and weighing only 2.7 pounds, the cleaner is slightly heavier than the 2.47-pound HoLife HM036E vacuum.
It has a 0.08-liter dirt compartment and a HEPA filter that helps keep out up to 99.97% of allergens – a feature that it shares with the Dyson Micro 1.5kg.
The vacuum cleaner is also pretty easy to maintain since it has no substantial recurring costs and is an excellent pick for owners who prefer to do the cleaning themselves rather than switch to robovacs such as the Coredy R500+.

Market Context | – | Weighing about 2.77 pounds, the Dyson Humdinger is much lighter than the Dyson V7 Animal, which weighs 5.22 pounds. It also has a higher maximum suction force of 0.89 kPa compared to the V7, which has a suction force of only 0.48 kPa. However, with a noise output of 73.5 dB, it is louder than the V7, which has an output of 70.5 dB. | The Dyson Humdinger has a dirt compartment that can only hold about 0.08 liters of dirt, which is much smaller than the 0.45 liters that the Dyson V11 Animal can hold. The V11 also has a longer 76-minute runtime compared to the Humdinger’s 28-minute battery capacity. | The Dyson Humdinger struggles to match up to the Shark UltraCyclone Pet Pro+ since the latter has a larger 0.4-liter dirt bin compared to the 0.08-liter dirt compartment on the Humdinger. However, the Humdinger has a longer 28-minute run time compared to the Shark Pet Pro’s 11-minute battery life. | The Dyson Humdinger has a much smaller dirt compartment that can only hold up to 0.08-liters of dirt, and as you’ll see in our Black+Decker dustbuster AdvancedClean+ Pet review, the Black+Decker vaccum can hold up to 0.7 liters of dirt. The latter also has a more powerful suction force of up to 3.36 kPa compared to the Humdinger, which only has a suction force of 0.89 kPa. |
