our Verdict

Product researchers lauded the Bose SoundLink Revolve II, endorsing it for music, podcasts, and outdoor use. Testers at CNET were impressed by its remarkably compact 1.5-lb design. Reviewers at Tech Advisor UK hailed the IPX5 water-resistant and IP5X dust-resistant design. With a 60.8Hz to 17.7 kHz frequency response range and a -0.07 slope, it provides a fairly neutral sound ideal for casual movie watching. Testers recorded a good 1.74 dB directivity index, providing a good soundstage, although it downmixes stereo to mono. Check out the Bose SoundLink Micro review for a device with a better directivity index. Testing revealed a good 9-hour battery life and speakerphone functions. It supports voice assistants via a smartphone, but the performance is poor. This smart speaker uses multi-device Bluetooth 4.1 connections, featuring an excellent 23 ms iOS Bluetooth latency and 13 ms Android latency. It has a good 84.3 dB SPL and 3.68 dB DRC at the maximum volume. See our Bose S1 Pro System review for a louder device.
