our Verdict

Product testers hailed the Bang & Olufsen Beolit 20, approving it for music, podcasts, and outdoors. Analysts at PCMag loved its controls, although it lacks speakerphone functions. Testers from T3 lauded its carry-handle-equipped 5.7-lb design. It features an aux input, but the USB-C charging port doesn’t offer audio playback. See our Bang & Olufsen Beosound Explore review for a USB-C port that supports audio playback. Experiments revealed a 45.6Hz to 19.6kHz frequency response range and an excellent -0.13 slope. It delivered overemphasized bass, earning an endorsement for movies. The speaker has a good 3.78 dB directivity index and supports stereo, delivering an immersive soundstage. This dual-pairing Bluetooth 4.2 speaker features an excellent 54 ms iOS Bluetooth latency and 132 ms Android latency. Featuring a 90.1 dB SPL and 3.14 dB DRC at the maximum volume, it provides adequate sound for small gatherings. However, its 5.8-hour battery life is unsatisfactory. Check out our Anker Soundcore Motion+ review for a better battery. It also doesn’t support voice assistants.
