The WS620 delighted testers with how easy it was to maneuver. They also liked that it came with a removable battery and could clean 100% of large debris from bare floors.

However, its 0.1 kPa suction force disappointed them, and its 17-minute battery life may be too short for some cleaning.

Product Snapshot

Overview

The Shark Wandvac System WS620 is an entry-level upright vacuum announced in 2021. Its 0.1-liter dirt compartment is smaller than most of the best vacuum cleaners on the market, but its 6-pound weight makes it much easier to maneuver.

It has a 17-minute battery life and a 180-minute charge time that’s slightly shorter than the Shark ION P50 Upright’s 190-minute charge duration. (Check out our Shark ION P50 Upright review to learn more about it).

The WS620 can quickly switch between its handheld and upright configurations, and since it is cordless, owners can move around with it without any restrictions.

Its build quality is also quite good, and with a low noise output of only 72 decibels, it won’t be disruptive.

Consensus

our Verdict

The Shark Wandvac System WS620 satisfied testers during their experiments. Critics from Rtings liked its rotating head, which helped them move around furniture.

They also saw that it could clean up nearly 100% of large debris from bare floors during their tests. Its performance on high pile carpets was lauded since their test results showed that the WS620 picked up 96% and 94% of large debris on high and low pile carpets, respectively.

Reviewers from Trusted Reviews also liked that the WS620 came with a removable battery and that, unlike other alternatives that you can learn more about in our Bissell Cleanview Upright Bagless review and Shark Vertex UltraLight Corded review, it is cordless, so moving it around is easy.

However, the WS620 disappointed testers with its lack of a HEPA filter and made the Shark Navigator (which we’ve examined in our Shark Navigator Vacuum Cleaner review) look like a better alternative.

They also didn’t like its dirt compartment’s 0.1-liter size and felt its 0.1 kPa suction force was very low.

  • Easy to maneuver
  • Great for cleaning large debris
  • Cordless
  • Low noise output
  • Removable battery

Reason to Avoid

  • Short battery life

The Shark Wandvac System WS620 has a 0.1-liter dirt canister, which is not as large as the 0.7-liter dirt compartment on the Shark Vertex Lightweight Cordless. The Vertex Lightweight also has a longer 38-minute run time compared to the WS620, which lasts 17 minutes.
