our Verdict

Product testers praised the JBL PartyBox 710, endorsing it for music, podcasts, and parties. Experts at T3 love its super-loud 104.4 dB maximum SPL, although it has a 3.26 dB DRC, losing some audio quality at the highest volume. Reviewers at Crutchfield lauded its Bluetooth 5.1 tech, although it has a high 117 ms iOS Bluetooth latency and 199 ms Android Bluetooth latency.

It has a decent 26.7Hz to 14.1 kHz frequency response range, and the 3.55 dB standard error shows good accuracy and amazing sound quality. This unit boasts extended low-bass that will delight EDM music and movie enthusiasts. It has customizable RGB lights and various app-controlled DJ effects. However, the 4.70 dB directivity index shows a relatively directional, narrow soundstage.

Weighing 61.9 lbs, this device is bulky, and it’s not battery-powered. Check out our JBL PartyBox On-The-Go review if you require a more portable, battery-powered speaker. However, it has a handle and wheels but lacks speakerphone and voice assistant features.
