Top experts were delighted with the Bushnell Wingman, and they approved it for outdoor use, podcasts, and music. They liked its loud performance, GPS, and memory for golf scores. However, it lacks a graphic EQ and has a small soundstage performance.

Consensus

our Verdict

Product pundits praised the Bushnell Wingman, endorsing it for podcasts and outdoor use. Testers at RTINGS lauded its speakerphone qualities and IPX6-rated construction. Reviewers at 9To5Toys praised its fairly balanced -0.26 slope. The bass is adequate for casual moving watching, but might be low for music enthusiasts. Testers hailed its portable 1.3-lb design, although it doesn’t have RGB lights. Check out the DOSS SoundBox Plus review for RGB lighting. It has a sub-par 6.70 dB directivity index and non-immersive soundstage. See our Bose SoundLink Revolve+ II review for a wider soundstage. The device supports stereo, however, and it gets remarkably loud, featuring a 92.0 dB maximum SPL. It has a low 0.39 dB DRC, maintaining the sound quality at high volume settings. Testers established that it has a 15.9-hour battery life. However, it has a mediocre 168 ms iOS Bluetooth latency and 158 ms Android latency. Apple users seeking an AirPlay-compatible device should see our Denon Home 350 review. The Wingman doesn’t support voice assistants too.

Featuring a 4.95 dB directivity index, the Anker Soundcore Motion+ Bluetooth speaker offers a wider soundstage than the Bushnell Wingman with its 6.70 dB directivity index. The Anker speaker also has a graphic EQ for customizing music quality, unlike the Bushnell Wingman. However, the Bushnell Wingman has more golfer-tailored features that include a GPS and memory for calculating distances and saving scores.
