Are you looking to tackle swathes of pet hair? For 40 minutes, you’ll get the Gtech AirRam MK2 to collect mounds of it, making it the best cordless vacuum and best pet vacuum. This is especially true if you’re concerned with budget and can’t afford, say, a Dyson Animal.
Picking up large swathes of pet hair on your floors and carpets with Gtech AirRam MK2 Cordless Upright Vacuum Cleaners is as easy as flicking your wrist.
We’re fully aware that few vacuums come close to what the Dyson V11 Vacuum can put out, but it’s still a sight to behold with the Gtech AirRam MK2. The suction is so great, it keeps the vacuum cleaner locked to the floor effortlessly. It runs on a 22V lithium-ion battery, providing up to 40 minutes of run time! But, the Gtech AirRam, its cousin, runs about 7 minutes longer.
The Gtech AirRam MK2 does take a hit to efficiency due to the lack of attachments. Since it’s just the vacuum itself, you’re limited to floor cleaning. But when it is cleaning your floors, it does so with incredible power, thanks to its AirLOC system that gathers large swathes of dirt, debris, and pet hair, and traps it in its grasp.
If we had to compare, the Gtech AirRam MK2 is holding twice as much debris as the Bosch BCS122GB and 50% more than the Tineco Pure One S12. In other words: you’re getting an impressive 0.8 liters of debris storage. It doesn’t use bags, however, so maintenance is required once in a while to prevent build-up.
Common among vacuums, the Gtech AirRam MK2 is primarily designed with varying degrees of plastic material. One section, in particular, is the handle, which is much thicker than most cordless vacuums. This is great, considering it’s much more durable than the Bissell wet/dry vac.
Considering how well the Gtech AirRam MK2 runs through pet hair like a champion, it’s safe to say that $319 is right where it should be. It’s just a bummer that it doesn’t come with any attachments. On the bright side, the MK2 is affordable enough that you can at least consider picking up a cheap hand vac to clean pet hair off your furniture.
Despite a lack of attachments, the Gtech AirRam MK2 is a beast when it comes to sucking pet hair out of carpets or on hard flooring. Its AirLOC system does so well at trapping dirt and whatnot. It’s also designed to be quite easy to maneuver, thanks to its twisting handle. And a 40 minute run time is a sight to see.
