The iRobot Roomba 694 was praised by experts for its impressive battery life. Reviewers from Rtings were pleased that the 694 could last 130 minutes, and after conducting their tests, they attributed its long runtime to its ability to automatically detect the surface being cleaned and adjust suction.
This is a feature that it shares with the iRobot Roomba 981. They also liked its performance on bare floors, as it picked up 99% and 100% of small and large debris.
The testing team at Modern Castle was also impressed with how the 694 cleared both dirt and debris from carpets (low and high piles) since, during their tests, it picked up 91.9% of kitty litter and 100% of cereal.
Unfortunately, the iRobot 694’s inability to pick up pet hair didn’t impress testers, and its lack of a HEPA filter meant that it couldn’t eliminate allergens.
They also didn’t like that the vacuum cleaner had high maintenance costs since most of its filters had to be replaced every two to twelve months.
