The bObsweep Bob Pro was hailed for its long three-hour run time, making it ideal for cleaning large spaces. They also concluded that it was not as adept at picking up debris from both low and high pile carpets as the Bissell CleanView Swivel Pet vacuum cleaner is.

Product Snapshot

Overview

The bObsweep Bob Pro is an entry-level budget robot vacuum launched in 2018. It is one of the top vacuum cleaners for its long, three-hour battery life, and this is quite difficult to find even among the best ranked robot vacuums.

Its 3.35-inch height gives it a low profile, and just like the Coredy R500+, it comes with a remote control for added convenience. Its dirt compartment can hold up to 0.4 liters of debris and operates in only one “Auto” mode, so there aren’t any configurations that have to be made.

The robot vacuum also uses a three-stage filtration system and has good enough build quality to withstand falls or knocking into furniture. It has a noise output of 67 decibels, and operates in one default “Auto” mode.

Consensus

our Verdict

The bObsweep Bob Pro received much praise from testers for its three-hour battery life. Because of this, product specialists from Rtings could clean up large areas of living space during their experiments without getting as tired as they would using the handheld Dyson Micro vacuum.

The robot vacuum also had testers from Smart Robot Reviews schedule its cleaning intervals, and since it ships with a remote control, they didn’t have to rely on an Internet connection or app to switch it on.

Critics also praised the build quality of the BoB Pro, and since it is not as big as some of the best self-propelled vacuums, it is much easier to store when not in use.
Still, the bObsweep Bob Pro has some shortcomings.

Experts found it was not good at cleaning carpets since it could only pick up 60% and 23% of large and small debris on low pile carpets, and 46% and 26% of large and small debris on high pile carpets. They also didn’t appreciate its lack of a HEPA filter and its mediocre build quality.

The bObsweep Bob Pro is outmatched by the bObsweep Pet Hair since its 0.4-liter dirt bin is much smaller than the Pet Hair’s 1-liter dirt compartment. The Pet Hair also features a HEPA filter and on-screen controls on its top lid, unlike the Bob Pro.

The bObsweep Bob Pro is outmatched by the Roborock E4 since the E4 has better build quality and an anti-allergy HEPA filter that the Bob Pro does not have. The E4 also has a longer 195-minute battery life compared to the Bob Pro’s 182-minute battery capacity and better low and high pile carpet cleaning performance.
