Product Snapshot

Overview

The Hoover ONEPWR Cordless Hand Vacuum is a basic battery-powered hand vacuum released in 2019. It has a 14-minute battery life and a 75-minute recharge time that is quicker than some of the best vacuum cleaners on the market.

The vacuum cleaner also has a 0.6-liter easy-empty XL dirt cup and is pretty easy to use. It weighs only 3.42 pounds, so it is quite portable, and it also ships with a crevice cleaner to deal with messes in hard-to-reach areas.

With a maximum suction force of 4.6 kPa, the vacuum cleaner is more powerful than the iRobot H1 (2.02 kPa), and with a noise output of 79.3 decibels at its highest, it is not very disruptive.

Consensus

our Verdict

The Hoover ONEPWR Cordless hand vacuum garnered praise from reviewers for its simple and direct approach to vacuuming. Reviewers from Rtings liked that it was pretty simple to use, and through their tests, they established that it was one of the best vacuums for cleaning stairs and car interiors.

They credited this to the vacuum’s 3.42-pound weight and compact design – aspects that make it a more versatile option than the Eureka FloorRover Elite NEU630.

Also appreciated was its ability to pick up pet hair and 100% of large and small debris from bare floors and both low (66 to 82%) and high pile (48 to 60%) carpets.

Testers from Pro Tool Reviews also liked that its dirt canister was super easy to empty, and since it can hold up to 0.6-liters of debris, it would probably be good enough for one round of cleaning.

However, testers did not like that it had a minimal selection of attachment tools and didn’t come with a HEPA filter. They also felt that its battery life was fairly short.

Reason to Buy

  • Portable and lightweight
  • High suction force
  • Low noise output
  • Easy to empty dirt canister
  • Fast recharge time

Reason to Avoid

  • Limited selection of attachment tools
  • No HEPA filter
  • Short battery life
