Why We Like It – Yi 4K+ Action Camera

The Yi 4K+ Action camera has an incredible capture rate of 60 frames per second, beating out most of its competitors. With the new convenient USB C port, you can transfer data faster and even connect to an external microphone for clearer audio. If you’re looking for superb video and still image quality, please try the Yi 4K+ camera.

Pros
  • Hands-free voice command technology
  • Built-in wifi and Bluetooth for instant social media sharing
  • Easy-to-use touchscreen interface
Cons
  • Lower battery life compared to other action cams on the market

Performance

The Yi 4K+ Action Camera has amazing image and video quality, and is perfect for action cam beginners. Although other action cameras on the market shoot in 4K now too, like the AKASO EK7000 Pro Action Camera, the Yi camera is one of the first to shoot in 60fps, for clearer action footage. Its voice control technology gives you hands-free control of your device even in the middle of the action. It even has 3-axis gyroscopes built-in for electronic image stabilization, so you can get the perfect shot.

Design

Don’t let the sleek design and sensitive touch screen fool you; the Yi 4K+ Action Camera is built for the most rugged performance. Featuring a shatterproof LCD touchscreen, it’s incredibly compact, meaning it slips perfectly into your pocket. The US Amazon version of the Yi cam comes in a beautiful rose gold aesthetic, and many reviewers compared it directly to the GoPro HERO 7 Black Action Camera.

Value

At $150, it’s not quite as cheap as the Dragon Touch 4K Action Camera, but you definitely get a much better deal compared to other cams currently on the market. It’s backwards compatible with past Yi accessories, so you don’t need to replace your existing tech. The only downside is that the Yi’s battery life is only about 120 minutes on a full charge (lower than its competitors), and that its waterproof case is sold separately. Otherwise, it’s well worth the relatively cheap $150 price tag.

Yi 4K+ Action Camera Wrap Up

For a low price, sleek design, and intuitive touchscreen interface, definitely give the Yi 4K+ Action Camera a try. It’s easy-to-use for beginners, but still takes incredible, professional-quality images and video. You can’t go wrong with 4K high definition video and 12 megapixel images. Slip the Yi into your pocket, and you’ll be ready to go anywhere and do anything.
