If hitting up the nearest incline is your goal, the Xprit Folding Electric Kick Scooter does well at clearing 11-degree inclines, thanks to its 250W motor and decent torque, which is why it’s the best electric scooter for climbing hills. It also has enough speed and juice in its 8Ah battery to provide a well-rounded option as the best electric scooter for commuting. But is it the best electric scooter around? Read on to find out.

Why We Like It – Xprit Folding Electric Kick Scooter

Lightweight and fast-charging, the Xprit Folding Electric Kick Scooter brings enough power and distance for commuters looking to reduce their footprint on a budget. And if you have never used an electric bike before, you can follow our guide on how to start an electric scooter. Additionally, if you are getting a model like this Xprit one, you can read our article on how you carry an electrical scooter.

Pros
  • Charges in just 2-3 hours
  • Can handle 11-degree inclines
  • Very affordable
Cons
  • Can reach 15mph, but only 10mph consistently
  • 15 miles per charge if conditions are right

Performance

The Xprit Folding Electric Kick Scooter is capable of reaching a max speed of 15mph, thanks to its motor pushing 250W of power. However, it only ever consistently reaches those speeds in ideal weather; otherwise, 10 mph is the sweet spot, which is still plenty fast for commuting. Torque, on the other hand, gives it enough to climb 11-degree inclines. The Segway Ninebot kickscooter ES2 also has a top speed of 15 mph, while it has an ever so slightly longer range of 15.5 miles.

Safety

We’ve seen other electric scooters provide more of an effort in the safety department, like the NanRobot D5+. There’s a single mechanical disc brake in the back, operated with your hand, which does fine on the road. The tires are 8.5-inch anti-sleep, solid rubber tires, reducing the amount of maintenance. The scooter does come with plenty of extra features, such as an LED display that shows current speed, trip mileage, and current gear. Speaking of gear, the scooter has four different modes: ECO, Confort, and Sport, that you can select depending on your needs or the type of conditions outside. And a helpful tip: the LED screen is bright enough that it can be used as a headlight if you find yourself riding in the dark. Read our top Gotrax e-scooters list for more great models.

Battery Life

The Xprit Folding Electric Kick Scooter doesn’t exactly have a “long-lasting battery life,” but it does just fine. On a single charge, you’re expecting 15 miles on a single charge, but only if conditions are right. It doesn’t come close to the NanRobot D4’s 40-mile range. On the bright side, it charges in just 2-3 hours! For another fast charging option, the URB-E folding electric scooter also charges in 2-3 hours and has a top speed of 17 mph.

Durability

Aluminum is what the Xprit Electric Kick Scooter works into its frame, providing some good durability while keeping its overall design lighter. The scooter itself is only 27 lbs, making it easy to lift after folding and a strong contender for the best folding electric scooter. But since its max load is 220 lbs, 35 lbs less than the Glion Dolly Foldable Lightweight Adult Electric Scooter, it isn’t ideal for heavier individuals. Although, some customers may be more interested in the lightest electric scooter instead.

Value

The Xprit E Scooter isn’t winning any awards in performance from us, but what it does accomplish is providing a decent alternative to your gas-powered machine at an affordable price. Just imagine traveling 15 miles, at 15mph, without spending a single dime on gas. We definitely see the merit in that and condone its use!

Xprit Folding Electric Kick Scooter Wrap Up

The Xprit Electric Kick Scooter isn’t without its faults: it only reaches its full potential in ideal conditions. However, that doesn’t stop it from being an affordable option for commuters. Traveling 15 miles at 15mph is still an accomplishment, especially when the scooter will be charged several hours before the work day is over.
