Here I was wondering about the best place to buy a kayak and now I want this awesome boat. Just the other night I was watching the Michael Bay blockbuster, “The Island”.  I generally loathe Bay’s films as they’re more often than not a gross display of money in film making and rarely focus on the story.  Yet, I enjoyed the flick.  I also enjoyed the boat that was depicted in the film.  And as it happens, today I stumbled upon the very maker of that boat, Wally Yachts. If you want a beach that’s indoors, you should also read our review of how the Seagaia Ocean Dome was the largest indoor beach.

This is the Wally Power 55, arguably a smaller, lesser version of the one in the film, the 118 WallyPower.  Measuring over 55′ in length, this boat has a max cruising speed of 40 knots (about 46mph) thanks to four Volvo IPS600 engines.  Not too shabby for a vessel of this size.   A generous amount of deck space surrounds the cockpit, which is wrapped in a massive windscreen.   A hydraulic ladder, which is fitted seamlessly into the deck, lifts and extends into the water for those looking to cool off on hot summer days.   Underneath is a surprisingly roomy interior, with space for up to two or three cabins.

Cost you ask?  Likely millions.
