The Vonets VAR11N-300 WiFi wireless router is not exactly something most people would keep on their lists of the best router options. But, it does provide a lot of flexibility and decent performance for its low price. That’s why, if you’re looking for the best travel router, you have to give this one a shot.

Cheap routers have indeed come a long way, and the Vonets VAR11N-300 WiFi router clearly proves that. It has WiFi intelligent bridge mode and can work as a WiFi repeater too. The WiFi signal coverage is plenty, and the performance is pretty much more than good enough for most people.
The performance is actually pretty good on this one. Sure, it comes with just a 100 Mbps ethernet port. But over Wi-Fi, it supports up to 300 Mbps, while the slightly costlier GL.iNET GL-AR150 can only do 150. You may be interested in our Asus Rog Rapture AX11000 review.
The WiFi signal coverage of this router is pretty bad, to say the least. You can get a full signal bar if you sit right next to it. But, as soon as you start moving away, even by a slight bit, you are going to start running into issues. The GL.iNet GL-E750 provides vastly better WiFi signal coverage comparatively.
Well, as you might expect from a pretty cheap WiFi repeater, it isn’t exactly built very well either. Even the GL.iNet GL-AR750S would take the crown when it comes to build quality in a battle with this WiFi router. You might also like the Linksys Mesh WiFi router.
Well, the interface of this router is very straightforward, per se. You can just go to the configuration page, and configure this WiFi router according to your needs. But, other than switching between the WiFi bridge mode and the other modes, and a few other basic functions, there’s not much else.
The value aspect of the Vonets VAR11N-300 is something that completely depends on the end-user. If you really value the limited functionalities this WiFi bridge comes with, you can pretty much go for it with your eyes closed. However, if you want something that performs better on the default WiFi router and the WiFi repeater modes, you should look elsewhere.
The Vonets VAR11N-300 is a decent WiFi bridge that comes at a pretty good price. If you don’t mind the risks, this is a great budget option.
