If you’re looking for the best blender for commercial use with variable speed controls, you have to be ready to spend a pretty penny behind it. However, if you don’t have a lot to spend, going for a Certified reconditioned might actually make sense in that case. The Vitamix 5300 Blender is an excellent professional-grade blender to go for in this range.
For those who want an alternative blender that is equally powerful, check this Vitamix 5200 Blender review.
Vitamix blenders usually come with high quality components, and the Vitamix 5300 blender is no different. It is expensive for sure, but this blender comes with a lot of functionalities to deserve that price tag. Both the motor base and the pitcher are very well made and durable. And the performance is top-notch as well.
This blender comes with more than enough horsepower to grind through pretty much everything. It has a 2.2 horsepower motor base that works wonderfully. Remember, the horsepower of the motor is not everything. A lot of other stuff (e.g., the speed, durability, etc.) matters even more when comparing two or more blenders. Still, if you need more power, you can go for the Ninja Mega Kitchen System BL770.
You get an excellent 10 step speed controlling dial with this blender. And that allows you to fine-tune the speeds according to your needs. Unfortunately, it doesn’t come with any automated modes. For that, you need to upgrade to Vitamix A3500 Ascent Series Blender.
It’s a Vitamix product, so the overall build quality is top-notch as usual. The laser-cut stainless steel blades are also very durable and can chew through pretty much everything. However, the problem arises on the Certified reconditioned part. According to some reviews, a lot of customers are getting defective units.
Unlike the Nutribullet 1200 Watt blender, this one doesn’t come with many accessories, if anything at all. You get the usual low profile container, a low profile tamper to go along with it, and the motor base. Using the low profile tamper, you can scrape off the sides while blending.
At above $350, the Vitamix 5300 Blender is very costly for a certified reconditioned blender. But you do get an excellent blender and a full 5-year warranty from Vitamix in case something goes wrong. And depending on your area, you should be able to get free shipping from Amazon.com. Still not convinced? read our Vitamix 7500 Blender Review roundup.
Well, overall, the Vitamix 5300 Blender is a decent blender for the price. It would’ve been an excellent blender if it were a couple of hundred dollars cheaper than its current price, but it’s not a bad value for money product by any means.
