The Trayvax Element should have taken a few notes on how to be one of the best cool wallets, but instead it settled on sharing key features with the Best Tactical Wallet. It may not look good, but holds up to 10 cards and 5 bills at the same time. And durability? Let its stainless steel frame do the talking.

Why We Like It – Trayvax Element

The Trayvax Element Wallet is simple, yet effective. It can survive the wear and tear of everyday activities, thanks to its durable stainless steel frame, backed by a lifetime warranty. For a multipurpose wallet that can store up to 10 cards, a SIM card, a single key and cash, read our Vaultskin Notting Hill wallet review.

Pros
  • Fits 10 cards + 5 bills
  • Durable stainless steel metal frame
  • Lifetime warranty
Cons
  • Not an attractive design
  • Pricey

Aesthetics

To be frank, the Trayvax Element Leather Wallet doesn’t look appealing. The way the leather has been wrapped around its metal frame looks amateur, which is strange because its brother, the Trayvax Ascent, utilizes leather far better in terms of looks. This one looks like a bunt, not a homerun.

Durability

Thankfully, that doesn’t spell doom for its durability. Its frame is made of strong, durable stainless steel. This is one of those everyday carry wallets you can trust won’t fall apart from being used a few times. However, since this does have genuine leather, be sure to care for it, or else cracking and peeling is in your future. If there’s any wallet that’s more durable, read about it in our Trayvax Contour review.

Performance

When you do use the Trayvax Element Slim Wallet, it performs as well as you’d hope. It can actually handle up to 10 credit cards and 5 bills, at the same time. This is because it has a tight, leather money clip to hold your cash, while the main compartment holds your cards. It even has RFID protection and a built-in bottle opener for cracking open a cold one when the time is right.

Size & Versatility

This particular Trayvax wallet has a very slim profile, measuring just 4.5 x 2.8 x 0.5 inches in size. You can easily fit this into your front pocket, back pocket, or hook to your backpack with its built-in loop.

Value

Giving this Trayvax Element Wallet review some thought, it can certainly offer good value, especially with how many cards it can hold, its durability, and general usefulness. However, it’s rather expensive. Dropping $82 on a durable minimalist wallet seems like a poor use of money. If you can live without the bottle opener, go with the Magpul Daka Everyday Wallet for a third of the price.

Trayvax Element Wrap Up

Trayvax has designed highly durable wallets in the past, many of which look good, relatively speaking; the Trayvax Element does not. But if your main concern is performance and durability, few top its frame. It fits up to 10 cards and 5 bills, altogether, and you get a lifetime warranty, provided you look past its steep price.
