If you’re looking for a smart TV that’s packed with features, the Toshiba 43LF711U20 is worth a look. It has a decent 43-inch screen size and 4K Ultra HD compatibility. Being an Amazon Fire TV, it comes with an integrated Fire Stick and voice remote with Alexa support. It works well with TV shows and streaming services. This TV is number one on our best smart TV list. But, is it one of the best TVs around?

Why We Like It – Toshiba 43LF711U20

The Toshiba Fire TV is an entry-level 4K TV with lots of brilliant functions like fantastic picture quality, three HDMI ports, an ethernet port, and wireless capability. It also has features like HDR compatibility, Alexa Voice Remote, and Dolby Vision, all at a great price. But, if you want 1080p, check out its cousin, the All-New Toshiba 43LF421U21 43″ smart TV.

Pros
  • 4K compatible
  • HDR Compatible
  • Voice Remote
Cons
  • No Bluetooth
  • Average motion display
  • Clunky web browser

Performance

This Toshiba TV has fantastic performance considering its price. The 43-inch screen has 8 million pixels and displays in 3840 x 2160 resolution. It has a refresh rate of 60Hz and comes with many nifty features like wireless capability, Dolby Vision, as well as the ability to play HDR content. It’s a must for smart homes thanks to its voice remote. Because of the Fire OS, you’ll be good to go with Amazon Prime Video and other streaming services. If you need a TV that can be controlled from your smartphone, the TCL 32S327 Roku is a great alternative.

Design

The Toshiba Smart TV looks very plain and simple. It has no cable management and is a bit thick at 3.43-inches. There are three HDMI inputs, an optical audio output, an ethernet port, a USB port, and an RCA video input port. This great TV also comes with two 8-watt speakers, which produce decent sound quality. The only small drawback is the internet browser, which isn’t user-friendly once you get past the home screen. This TV only goes up to 50-inches, unlike the TCL 50S425, which goes up to 70-inches.

Value

Considering all the features and the performance of the Toshiba Fire TV Edition, it represents fantastic value for money. It has all the standard features you’d expect, like 4K resolution, HDR compatibility, and fantastic overall picture quality. What sets it apart is the Alex support that allows it to control your smart home. It can connect to all your other smart devices and manage your calendar, control your lights, and a host of other functions. Watching Prime Video and other streaming content is easy with the connectivity options. It’s the best buy in its class, just above the Insignia NS-50DF710NA19.

Toshiba 43LF711U20 Wrap Up

This 4K LED Fire TV has great performance and many features like 4K resolution, voice control, and connectivity to watch Amazon Prime Video and other streaming services. There’s no Bluetooth connectivity, and the browser isn’t user-friendly. In that case, for a 75-inch, UHD 4K smart TV that’s got the latest tech, you might be interested in our Sony XBR75X950H.
