The Tineco Pure One S12 makes a fantastic argument for being the best vacuum for elderly for two main reasons: battery life and weight. Imagine wielding a strong cordless vacuum, weighing just 6.61 lbs. And since it can run for 100 minutes straight, it’s a shoe-in as the best cordless vacuum.

Why We Like It – Tineco Pure One S12

When cordless Dyson vacuums aren’t within your reach, the Tineco Pure One S12 gives you the perfect alternative, one with a battery life that puts its competitors to shame.

Pros
  • 145W of suction power
  • Run time of 100 minutes
  • Wall mounting dock included
Cons
  • Lacks a soft roller power brush

Power

At max suction power, the Tineco Pure One S12 is pulling 145W of suction power, adjustable between manual and auto mode. That kind of power provides great cleaning performance, like lifting pet hair and dust from carpets and hard surfaces. However, while it does amazing on carpets, hard flooring could use some help. This is because it lacks a soft roller power brush; otherwise performance is okay.

Speed & Efficiency

Thankfully, Tineco S12 Plus Cordless Stick Vacuums are incredibly efficient with power. With two batteries, it has a battery life of up to 100 minutes! Of course, it fluctuates depending on different cleaning heads used, like the Direct Drive powered brush or crevice tool. You can keep track via LED display on the main body, which is a nice touch.

Bin Capacity & Maintenance

With a bin capacity of 0.6 liters, it doesn’t sound like much but it’s actually slightly above average. Clean often and it won’t be an issue. Maintenance is surprisingly low. It has a pre filter cleaning tool for cleaning filters. And through the Tineco app—it’s a smart vacuum, after all—you can keep tabs on performance.

Durability

Despite being made of mostly plastic, the Tineco Pure One S12 is still well-built and looks pretty snazzy. To be fair, hard plastic is still durable and keeps it weighing just under 7 lbs, nearly 1.5 lbs lighter than a Shark Rocket HV301.

Value

Dropping $500 on a cordless vacuum seems bonkers, but hear us out. The Oreck Commercial Upright XL2100 is far cheaper (just under $160), but you also have to worry about vacuum bags. Over time you’ll reach and exceed $500. So, why not just pick up the Tineco Pure One S12, and forget about bags? Or forget about vacuuming altogether and get the iRobot Roomba 675.

Tineco Pure One S12 Wrap Up

The Tineco Pure One S12 is still a step behind Dyson V11 Vacuum Cleaners, but still better than your average cordless vacuum. It’s biggest weakness—the lack of a soft roller brush—can be easily rectified by buying one. Outside that, you’re getting a cordless vacuum, running for 100 minutes with 145W of suction power.
