Is it finally time to buy your kid (or yourself) a new electric self-balancing scooter? Chances are you’ve looked at all of the best hoverboard choices out there, and the Swagtron T1 Self-Balancing Scooter kept showing up as a top pick. That’s why I had to spend some time with this hoverboard and see if it is as good as they say.
The Swagtron T1 has three riding modes, a 220-pound max rider weight limit, weighs 44 pounds, and comes in a variety of colors. It also has a range of 7 to 12 miles. I spent some time research this model recently, and my review on the Swag personal transporter awaits below. While this isn’t the fastest hoverboard, it will be great to take anywhere you need. Also, remember, if you want to go off-road, bigger tires, like those on our top 10-inch hoverboards guide, will help with the terrain.
Many consider this to be the best hoverboard that Swagtron has produced.
The Swagtron T1 is a very popular hoverboard for kids and adults. It is easy to use thanks to a training mode and is UL 2272 compliant, so you know it is safe. This model also charges fast, which I love. The top speed of 8 miles per hour is perfect for kids and still fast enough to be fun for adults. Swagtron makes fantastic scooters for kids. They make great geek toys for adults, too.
Pros:
Cons:
The Swagtron T1 is a good-looking hoverboard. It has style and flair. The ABS outer shell is durable and fire-resistant, so it will stand up to some abuse, but it does scratch easily. A SentriShield battery pack prevents overheating, and this model also has a safe stop feature that lets you get off the device safely. It weighs 44 pounds, which may be heavy for some kids, but they are mostly going to be riding it anyway.

One of the best features of the Swagtron T1 is its battery life and fast charging. Just charge the lithium-ion battery for an hour, and you are ready for action. A full charge will give you 3 hours of run-time, which is much longer than the 45-75 minutes the Xprit Hoverboard offers.
The Swagtron T1 is a decent and smooth ride. The 8 MPH maximum speed is perfect to keep kids safe while being fast enough to offer a fun ride for adults as well. I was impressed at how much thought Swagtron put into making this a great hoverboard for beginners. It is easy to ride.
It has three riding modes: A learning mode, a slow mode for beginners to practice, and a standard mode which offers top speed. The range of 7-12 miles is actually impressive when you consider the fast charge and top speed. The foot pad is nice and roomy.

The Swagtron T1 is a smooth ride, offers great build quality and battery life, and will last a long time, thanks to its durable construction. Even though it isn’t feature-packed, this hoverboard has some great features and is safe for kids. I can see why it is so popular. It’s just plain fun for any kid who wants a self-balancing scooter. It is one of the coolest hoverboards available for kids and adults, thanks to that 220-pound rider weight limit.
