While not included in the best automatic pot stirrer buying guide, the StirChef stirrer stands out as an automatic pot stirrer that ensures a hands-free operation by having a more secure way to clamp to the user’s pots and pans. It also comes with 3 paddles that are dishwasher safe and interchangeable.

Why We Like It – StirChef SAUCEPAN STIRRER

The StirChef Saucepan Stirrer is adjustable for a variety of pots and pans, can be folded for easy storage, and is allowed to be used hands-free without much intervention. It has also been designed to clamp onto three parts of a pot or pan’s rim to avoid potential mishaps.

  • Lightweight
  • Can be folded for easy storage
  • Can also be used as a saucepan stirrer
  • Requires 4 AA batteries

Like the Uutensil Saucepan Stirrer, it’s not rechargeable and requires 4 AA batteries to use it, and unlike that stirrer, it only has 1 stirring speed instead of 2 or more stirring speeds, which seem to be a standard for similar stirrers. However, unlike the Uutensil stirrer, it has a splash guard because of its paddles, and it’s also powerful enough to be used for heavier recipes such as pasta, rice, and chili dishes.

Despite how it clamps to pots and pans, the range of compatible pots and pan sizes isn’t as impressive as stirrers such as the saki automatic auto stirrer, which had about a 4 inch range in both diameter and height, compared to the StirChef’s 2 1/2 inch range. However, it’s foldable so that the user can store it in smaller places such as a utensil drawer. It also comes with replaceable heat-resistant paddles that are dishwasher safe.

What makes automatic pot stirrers like this stand out is how it has characteristics of both the cheaper, handheld stirrers and the more expensive, adjustable stirrers. It has the price range of the adjustable stirrers when bought new, but has some features, such as requiring batteries, of the handheld stirrers. Alternatives such as the StirMATE Smart Pot Stirrer are about the same price if not only slightly more expensive, have more than 1 stirring speed, and are rechargeable.

It’s not one of the best automatic pot stirrers, as customer reviews from the United States have noted that, among other things, unless you have the right size pot/ pan, it won’t be easy to fit this verified purchase onto the pot/ pan’s rim. Before thinking about buying this, make sure you have at least one pot or pan that matches any of the sizes this stirrer is compatible with and plenty of AA batteries.
