The SteelSeries Prime Esport Wireless is a high-end gaming mouse that also works pretty well as an office mouse. It is comfortable enough for long-term use in the office, and it is also well-featured for competitive gaming.
The SteelSeries Prime Esport Wireless mouse is a premium wireless gaming mouse that was announced in mid-2021.
The gaming mouse is powered by a built-in, rechargeable battery that offers up to 100 hours of battery life, but unlike most top computer mice, it doesn’t offer Bluetooth connectivity.
Still, it uses an Optical sensor and has an operating resolution of 18,000 DPI. This DPI is adjustable in increments of 100, and with latencies of 6.6ms and 7.1ms, the mouse is primed for good responsiveness.
The wireless mouse is ergonomically shaped for right-handed users applying a palm or claw grip, and like the best gaming mice, it also features RGB lighting.
In total, the mouse has six buttons but offers seven programmable inputs. Its 24-step notched wheel allows for simple navigation, and its SteelSeries engine customization software works on both Windows and MacOS systems.

our Verdict
The SteelSeries Prime Esport Wireless is a medium-sized, high-end, right-handed gaming mouse designed for palm or claw grip users, and it has good build quality.
The 81.3g lightweight mouse has a comfortable, matte plastic body, and the coating is grippy. It also runs on a 100-hour battery which isn’t outstanding, and even though it connects wirelessly through a USB connector, it misses out on Bluetooth.
Its 18,000 DPI resolution delivers great sensitivity for precision gaming, and it is adjustable in 100 DPI increments through its user-friendly SteelSeries GG software on Windows or Mac OS.
All of its inputs are programmable, and with a tested click latency of 6.6ms to 7.1ms (wired & USB receiver), it is very responsive, but its scroll wheel doesn’t have any tilt buttons.
