The SteelSeries Arctis 1 are comfy gaming headphones with good sound quality, low latency, and support wireless and wired connections. They have a tested wireless latency of 32 ms and a wired latency of zero ms. In terms of sound, the headphones are well-balanced and accurate. They feature companion software with a 6-band EQ for users to make adjustments.
However, the build quality and plastic feel cheap, and the hinges feel weak. The headphones suffer from soundstage limitations, background noise pickup by the microphone, and discomfort for people with smaller heads.
Additionally, the charging port uses micro-USB, and the power button requires a long press to wake up. Lastly, the headphones have no active noise cancellation setting, and poor isolation makes them bad for commuting.
