The Spy Video TRAKR is like no other remote controlled vehicle. Speaking of remote control, you’ll want to read our Swann Sky Duel Helicopters review too. Sure, it sports a camera and remote with LCD screen, but what makes this RC car different is that it can be easily modified. Apps are available for download from what we presume will be an open source community and you can even program your own, provided of course you’re familiar with the language ‘C’ (update: they’ll have a kit to assist kids in programming their own apps and they’ll be able to modify preexisting apps). If you think this is cool, you might also be interested in our review of the Dexim AppSpeed truck. Both the controller and the vehicle contain an ARM9 processor, while the bot contains 8 megabytes of RAM, an SD card slot and a USB port that can play both host and client. Sounds pretty neat. What kind of apps can you think of? I’m thinking augmented reality. Also read about the best remote control car.
The Spy Video TRAKR will arrive this October for a suggested retail price of $139.
