Just when we thought Sling TV couldn’t be more badass, the company has announced this morning that the service will expand upon its movie content by adding both EPIX VOD and four EPIX movie channels.
The movie content will come in the form of an add-on package, which will add the EPIX, EPIX2, EPIX 3 and EPIX Drive-In channels and more than 2,000 movie and entertainment titles on-demand as part of the service. There is no word on a specific launch date for Sling’s EPIX package, but the company stated that it will announce the launch date, package and pricing of EPIX in the “coming weeks.”
The add-on package will, of course, cost you a little bit more on top of the $20 core package, and will likely be in line with the service’s other add-on packages, which currently cost $5 per package.
If you live in a cave and are unaware of just what EPIX is, it is a premium movie service that delivers the latest movie releases and music events on numerous TV devices, online, Chromecast, Xbox 360, PS3 and Android and iOS devices. The service holds content from its partners at Paramount Pictures, Lionsgate and MGM Studios.
