You may be thinking that you’re done looking for the Best TV Antenna when you finally buy and install it. But if you live in a more rural community, or just want more channels or channel stability, you might want to check out some of the Best TV Antenna Amplifier too. To this extent, you should give the Skywalker Signature Series a whirl..
The Skywalker Signature Series can receive both VHF and UHF signals. This is great because local and affiliate channels usually broadcast a combination of both, so being able to pick up both signals allows for more channels. And if you’re looking to boost radio power too, it can even pick up FM waves.
It’s important to point out the brand Skywalker Signature Series will enhance a signal on an already existing tv antenna, it won’t produce one. However the Skywalker Signature can receive VHF, UHF, and even FM signals if more radio channels are what you’re after too. It can’t receive a 4K signal though, so check out the DrillTop TV Antenna Amplifier if this is important to you.
The Skywalker Signature Series is apparently very difficult to install because the Amazon page says it should be installed by a qualified technician to ensure proper performance and sustainability. I suspect they’re saying this to cover themselves as the design seems to suggest installation follows the same path as other amplifiers, but you can check out the Reliable Cable Product TV Digital Signal Amplifier to be safe. If you are not tech savvy then you can try getting the PBD HDTV Preamplifier, which has a pretty straightforward installation process.
One of the best things about the Skywalker Signature Series is how durable it is. It is constructed with heavy duty metal housing with built-in mounting screw holes & power indicator light. If you want to use the Skywalker Series with an outdoor antenna, you can. It even has a built-in power supply that’s designed to connect to a standard 120V outlet.
The Skywalker Signature Series allows you control of the variable gain via the control panel in the front. You can set this gain as high as 25dB. The Skywalker Signature Series also has only one output port. This isn;t a good or bad thing. It just depends on how many TVs you need to amplify. If you need more, check out the Antronix Four Output Amplifier.
At $35.00, it’s priced right around average. It’s a shame it only has one output port because others in the same price range can have up to two or four, but they’ll go to waste if you’re only using it on one TV. Reviews on Amazon for okay for the most part, but they could be better. It holds a 3.5/5 star rating based on 905 reviews.
The Skywalker Signature Series would have you believe it’s a hyper-advanced piece of equipment, but it’s constructed and designed the same as every other antenna amplifier we’ve seen, so it can’t be that much different. Still, it wouldn’t hurt to hire a professional if you’re not all that tech-savvy.
