Earbuds are pretty much ubiquitous these days; if you need something to listen to music on, that doesn’t take up a lot of space, they’re really your only option. And while efforts have been ongoing to get them more portable and wire-free, they can always be improved. And Skybuds brings both quality wireless earbuds and a battery to the party.
The Skybuds are essentially four products in one. To explain how, let’s look at the product; you put your phone in a custom case, and pull the Skybuds out of the bottom sides when you need them. They pair wirelessly with your phone via Bluetooth, and you’re off. The case contains a battery both the earbuds and the phone use.
So, basically, you’ve got a phone case that looks good; wireless earbuds for those times you need to rock out on the go; a Bluetooth headset for when you need to take calls; and a spare battery for charging both your phone and your earbuds. It’s a multitool for your phone, in short, and if you read this blog at all, you know just how much I love multitools. And, you know, it means you can get rid of about half the things you carry around with your to support your phone.
At $280 a pop, not every iPhone owner will want this particular phone multitool. That said, it’s worth looking at what you’ve currently got on your person right now. If you’ve got your phone in a bulky case, are trucking around a spare battery, you have headphones you’re untangling, and you can never find them when you need to take a call without holding your phone to your face… maybe it’s time you spent the money and cleaned all that up.
