Although slightly heavy, the Shure AONIC 50 fit comfortably with the well-cushioned and wide headband. They’re mediocre at isolating noise, even with ANC, but they block ambient chatter well.
With a primarily plastic build and detachable earcups, the headphones are quite durable. Their moderately neutral sound profile has overemphasized high bass and treble, so there’s some boominess, and a few instruments may sound sharp.
The underemphasized low bass won’t please bass enthusiasts, but the excellent mid-accuracy delivers clear vocals.
Physical buttons ensure a responsive control experience to manage playback, volume, and noise-canceling, and there is limited sound leakage, so you’ll blend in at work.
Connectivity is wired and wireless, with Bluetooth latency minimal across iOS and Android but slightly high on PC. Lastly, the 17-hour battery life is great.
