Overview

The Roccat Kone XP is a wired, mid-tier gaming mouse that relies on an optical sensor for its motion tracking. It has an operating resolution of 19,000 DPI, and even with thirteen buttons, its got twenty-seven programmable inputs. The right-handed mouse has a low click latency of 2.9ms which is pretty standard among the best computer mice in the industry, and it also has a finger rest for added comfort. The mouse allows for DPI adjustments in increments of 50, and like many highly-rated gaming mice, it also offers RGB lighting for immersive gaming.

That said, the mouse allows for twenty-seven programmable inputs, and its click noise is pretty quiet. Also, because of its size and ergonomics, the mouse is best suited for users with a medium to large hand size and can be used with all grip types.

our Verdict

The Roccat Kone XP is a premium, well-made gaming mouse designed for right-handed users. With its stylish semi-transparent top and 100g weight, it offers a visually impressive experience. Its tested 2.9ms click latency ensures swift responses, while the adjustable DPI in 50 DPI increments allows for precise sensitivity calibration.
The mouse maintains a quiet environment with its low click noise, and although limited to Windows systems, the ROCCAT Swarm software offers extensive customization options. The PTFE mouse feet also enable smooth gliding, while the 27 programmable inputs allow for in-depth customization. However, the scroll wheel lacks a free scrolling mode and dedicated left and right-click buttons. Overall, the Roccat Kone XP combines aesthetics and performance for a satisfying gaming experience.
